Olympics For The Unemployed

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

The Olympics for the Unemployed was organized by Nick Goddard, a 26-year-old unemployed computer programmer who hatched the idea because he yearned for the chance to 'battle all the unemployed people for stuff.
Events included office-phone skeeball, piñata-bashing, 'Pin the Blame on the Boss,' and a 'You're Fired' race. Some 50 Olympians came from all over New York and beyond to participate.

Bus Shelters in Amsterdam Point Out Fat People

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

The program took off at the initiative of the Netherlands-based health club operator Fitness First. How does it work? Well, the principle is very simple. While the person sits on the near bench, the machine tells the person's actual weight. On the back of the bench, there is a chart that shows if the person weighs more than they should. It's as simple as that.

Introducing the Official (Creepy) Cheer

Thursday, June 12, 2008

Beijing Olympics officials have just released a diagram illustrating the summer games’ official cheer. A simple repetitive clap is, apparently, utterly archaic. Instead, Olympics attendees are encouraged to ‘clap two times,’ then make their ‘hands in fists with thumbs up, arms extended,’ then ‘clap two times,’ and, finally, ‘hands in fists, arms extended outward and upward.’ Now, everybody!
